As a Certified National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and PTA Gloabalpersonal trainer, Melissa facilitates one-on-one or group sessions that are custom designed to the biomechanics of your body. Functional training attempts to adapt or develop exercises which allow individuals to perform the activities of daily life more easily and without injury.
These mainly include weight bearing, balance, and flexibility activities targeted at core muscles and the lower back. The more functional you become, the more your body will increase the resistance to injury.
